I Live in the City

Lady on a Tree in the City

I live in the city
where there's plenty of trees

and a small patch of earth
where I plant on my knees

tulips, and daffodils, and allium tall,
they'll brighten the spring,
and sleep in the fall;

in summer there's roses
delighting our noses,
and

trees to sit under
to rest in our wonder.
